Locked Out in Portstewart? Non-Destructive Entry on a Recent Call-Out

A recent call-out in Portstewart involved a customer who had accidentally left their house keys elsewhere and found themselves locked out of their home.

Lighthouse Locksmiths attended within around 30 minutes. Rather than drilling or unnecessarily replacing the lock, I was able to pick the existing cylinder and gain non-destructive entry, allowing the customer to get back inside while leaving the existing lock and door intact.

Wherever possible, I will always try to gain entry without causing unnecessary damage. Depending on the type of lock and the circumstances, picking the existing lock can often avoid the additional cost of drilling and replacing it.

Lighthouse Locksmiths provides local locksmith services throughout Portstewart and the surrounding North Coast area, including home lockouts, lock changes, broken key problems and UPVC door and multipoint lock repairs.
