UPVC Door Lockout & Gearbox Replacement in Limavady

A recent call-out in Limavady involved a UPVC door that could no longer be opened due to a failed multipoint locking mechanism.

After gaining entry and diagnosing the fault, I found that the gearbox within the multipoint lock had failed. The faulty gearbox was removed and replaced with a suitable GU 35mm backset replacement.

Once the new gearbox was fitted, the door was checked and adjusted to make sure the locking mechanism was operating correctly.

Problems with UPVC doors can sometimes appear as a stiff handle, a door that won't lock or unlock properly, or a door that becomes completely stuck. In many cases, the faulty component can be identified and replaced without needing to replace the entire door.
